Step 1: Write out the function

f(x)=3^x

Step 2: Evaluate the functions at x=1,3,4 and 6

\begin{gathered} f(1)=3^1 \\ f(3)=3^3 \\ f(4)=3^4 \\ f(6)=3^6 \end{gathered}

Step 3: Compute f(6)/f(4)

(f(6))/(f(4))=(3^6)/(3^4)=3^(6-4)=3^2

Step 4: Compute f(3)/f(1)

(f(3))/(f(1))=(3^3)/(3^1)=3^(3-1)=3^2

Step 5: Compare f(6)/f(4) and f(3)/f(1)

(f(6))/(f(4))=3^2
(f(3))/(f(1))=3^2

Therefore,

(f(6))/(f(4))=^{}(f(6))/(f(4))
