Solution:

The first set given as;

[-9,-1)

Then in list form, the set is;

\lbrace-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2\rbrace
\lbrace-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2\rbrace

Also, the second set given as;

(-3,4)

Then, in list form, the set is;

\lbrace-2,-1,0,1,2,3\rbrace

The intersection of the two sets is;

\begin{gathered} \lbrace-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2\rbrace\cap\lbrace-2,-1,0,1,2,3\rbrace=\lbrace-2\rbrace \\ \\ \text{ Note that there are some real numbers on the number line} \end{gathered}

Thus, the solution in interval notation is;

(-3,-1)
