How do i graph g(x)=1/4x-3

The given function is:


g(x)=(1)/(4)x-3

To graph the function we can make a table of values, by replacing different x-values into the function and finding g(x) as follows:


\begin{gathered} x=0 \\ g(0)=(1)/(4)*0-3=-3 \\ x=-1 \\ g(-1)=(1)/(4)*(-1)-3=-(1)/(4)-3=(-1-12)/(4)=-(13)/(4) \\ x=1 \\ g(1)=(1)/(4)*1-3=(1)/(4)-3=(1-12)/(4)=-(11)/(4) \end{gathered}
