Explanation:

Write the equation in vertex form and evaluate


y=(x-h)^2+k\\\\y=(x-10)^2-5\\\\y=x^2-20x+100-5\\\\y=x^2-20x+95

This is because the minimum (or maximum) of a quadratic curve is its vertex and
(h,k) is the vertex in the formula I used
