boyle'$ law states that for a fixed amount of gas the volume of the gas at a constant temperature is inversely proportional to the pressure If a certain gas occupies 9.84 L at a pressure of 50 cm of mercury what is the approximate pressure when the volume is increased to 12 l

According to Boyle's law,

p_1v_1=p_2v_2

Where

p1 is initial pressure

v1 is initial volum

p2 is final pressure

v2 is final volume

\begin{gathered} In\text{ this case;} \\ p_1=50cmHg,v_1=9.84L,v_2=12L \\ \Rightarrow p_2*12=50*9.84 \\ \Rightarrow p_2=(50*9.84)/(12)=41\operatorname{cm}Hg \end{gathered}

The pressure is 41cmHg
