We are given a triangle whose base is 14 units long, and whose height is 6 units.

The formula for finding the area of a triangle is:

A=(1)/(2)bh

So to get the area, we just multiply the base and the height, and then divide the answer by 2.

\begin{gathered} A=(1)/(2)*14*6 \\ \\ A=(1)/(2)*84 \\ \\ A=42 \end{gathered}

The area of the triangle is 42 sq. units.
