Chuck needs to cut a piece of cardboard for an art project at school. He has four pieces of

cardboard that he can cut from: 6 inches, 5 inches, 7 inches, and 3 inches. If the length of the
cardboard he needs is √√35 inches, which piece of cardboard should he cut to create the least
amount of unused cardboard?

the 6 inch cardboard

Explanation:

√35 = 5.916 approximately 6 so cutting that will produce the least amount of unused cardboard while the rest will be excess like the 7 inch or not enough like the remaining
