Since the angles are complementary their addition is 90° then we have:


\begin{gathered} 4x-2+11x+17=90 \\ 15x+15=90 \\ 15x=90-15 \\ 15x=75 \\ x=(75)/(15) \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

therefore, the value of x is 5°
