The satellite images are collected by the governments to have an objective perspective of the surface of Earth, these images can include temperature, chlorophyll concentration, measurements of lands, and meteorological phenomena (climate changes included). A satellite image is not called a picture because it is not a closed profile of the Earth, it is a trasient state for observation of the changes in the surface of the planet. Satellite images can be called spaceborne photography or Earth observation imagery.
