The area of a sector is given to be:

A=(\theta)/(360)*\pi r^2

From the question, we have the following parameters:t

\begin{gathered} \theta=45\degree \\ r=1\text{ ft} \end{gathered}

Therefore, the area will be:

\begin{gathered} A=(45)/(360)*\pi*1^2 \\ A=0.393 \end{gathered}

The area is 0.393 square feet.
