Replace each x value and solve.

x = -7


(x^(^2)+x-20)/(x-5)=\frac{(-7)^(^2)+(-7)\text{ -20}}{-7-5}=(49-27)/(-12)=(22)/(-12)=-11/6

x= -6


((-6)^2+(-6)-20)/(-6-5)=(36-26)/(-11)=-10/11

x= -1


\frac{(-1)^(^2)+\text{ \lparen-1\rparen - 20}}{-1-5}=(1-1-20)/(-6)=(-20)/(-6)=10/3

x=11/2
