We have the following:


\begin{gathered} f(x)=-(1)/(2)x-3 \\ \end{gathered}

the domain is the input values and the range the output values, therefore:


\begin{gathered} f(-4)=-(1)/(2)\cdot-4-3=2-3=-1 \\ f(2)=-(1)/(2)\cdot2-3=-1-3=-4 \end{gathered}

now, the range is:


\lbrack-4,1)

The answer is the option 2
