The Solution.

Step 1:

We shall state the variation as direct ( positive).

(9)/(54)=(n)/(48)

Step 2:

We shall solve the equation in step1 above to get the value of n.

\begin{gathered} \text{Cross multiplying, we get} \\ 54n=9*48 \\ 54n=432 \\ \text{Dividing both sides by 54, we get} \\ n=(432)/(54) \\ n=8 \end{gathered}

Step 3:

Presentation of the Answer.

The correct answer is n = 8.
