here,

The function value of f(-3.999) is 0.4002.

So,


\lim _(x\to-4^-)f(x)=0.4002

As, -3.999 is the closest value of -4 in negative.

Similarly,

The function value of f(-4.001) is 1.503999.

So,


\lim _(x\to-4^+)f(x)=1.503999

As, -4.001 is the closest value of 1.503999 in positive.


\lim _{x\to-4^{}}f(x)=-4

Hence, the value of lim x-> -4^- is 0.4001, lim x-> -4^+ is 1.503999 and lim x-> -4 is -4
