To find the x-intercept, we replace y for 0 and solve for x:

\begin{gathered} y=(x-3)/(x+4)\rightarrow0=(x-3)/(x+4)\rightarrow x-3=0 \\ \\ \Rightarrow x=3 \end{gathered}

Thereby, the x intercept is 3

To find the y-intercept, we replace x for 0 and solve for y:

\begin{gathered} y=(x-3)/(x+4)\rightarrow y=(0-3)/(0+4)\rightarrow y=-(3)/(4) \\ \\ \Rightarrow y=-0.75 \end{gathered}

Thereby, the y-intercept is -0.75
