Given:

(2)/(3)t=(5)/(9)
\text{ We know that the reciprocal of }(2)/(3)\text{ is }(3)/(2)\text{.}

Multiply both sides by 3/2, we get

(3)/(2)*(2)/(3)t=(3)/(2)*(5)/(9)

Cancel out the common multiples, we get

t=(1)/(2)*(5)/(3)

t=(1*5)/(2*3)

t=(5)/(6)

The solution of the given equation is

t=(5)/(6)

or

t=0.8333.
