we must find the are of the triangle and the area of the half circle and sum them

Triangle

A_1=(b* h)/(2)

where b is the base and is 16 because is the diameter of the circle and h is the height 15

so replacing

\begin{gathered} A_1=(16*15)/(2) \\ \\ A_1=120 \end{gathered}

the area is 120 cm2

Half circle(area of the circle between 2)

A_2=(\pi* r^2)/(2)

where r is the radius 8

\begin{gathered} A_2=(\pi*8^2)/(2) \\ \\ A_2=32\pi\approx100.5 \end{gathered}

the area is 100.5 cm2

Total area

A_T=A_1_{}+A_2^{}
\begin{gathered} A_T=120+100.5 \\ A_T=220.5 \end{gathered}

the total area is 220.5cm2
