f(x)=2(x-3)^2+1

Find-: Coordinates of the axis.

Sol:

General equation of the parabola in vertex form.


\begin{gathered} y=a(x-h)^2+k \\ \\ \text{ Vertex = }(h,k) \end{gathered}

Compare with genera equation then:


\begin{gathered} y=a(x-h)^2+k \\ \\ f(x)=2(x-3)^2+1 \\ \\ \text{ So,} \\ \\ h=3 \\ \\ k=1 \end{gathered}

So the vertex is:


(h,k)=(3,1)
