We can fit the data to a linear model of the form:

y = kx

To find the value of k, we can solve for it from the above equation, like this:

y=kx

y/x=kx/x

y/x=k

k=y/x

By taking the pair (1.5 , 3), we can find k like this:

k= 3/1.5 = 2
