To find the price per pound, we have to divide each total by the quantity that each person bought.

For person A we have:

(14.5)/(1(3)/(4))=(14.5)/(1.75)=8.29

For Person B:

(26.25)/(2(1)/(2))=(26.25)/(2.5)=10.5

For person C:

(5.5)/((3)/(8))=(5.5)/(0.375)=14.67

therefore, the least expensive meat is the ham and the most expensive meat is the beef.
