We use the formula of the area of a trapezoid

A=((B+b)h)/(2)

where A is the area, B and b are bases of the trapezoid and h the height

we can replace values like area, and bases

51=((10+7)h)/(2)

simplify

51=(17h)/(2)

multiply on both sides to remove denominator 2

\begin{gathered} 51*2=(17h)/(2)*2 \\ \\ 102=17h \\ 17h=102 \end{gathered}

and divide between 17 to find h

\begin{gathered} h=(102)/(17) \\ \\ h=6 \end{gathered}

the height of trapezoid is 6cm
