Since there are 2/3 of multigrain bagels of 12 bagels, we can apply the rule of three:

\begin{gathered} 12\text{ bagels ----- }(3)/(3) \\ x\text{ ---------- }(2)/(3) \end{gathered}

where x denote the multigrain bagels. Then, x is given by

\begin{gathered} x=((2)/(3)*12)/((3)/(3)) \\ \sin ce\text{ 3/3 is one, } \\ x=(2)/(3)*12 \end{gathered}

Then, we have

\begin{gathered} x=(2*12)/(3) \\ x=2*4 \\ x=8 \end{gathered}

and the answer is 8 multigrain bagels.

Similarly, we can apply the rule of three as

\begin{gathered} 10\text{ muffins ----- }(5)/(5) \\ y\text{ ---------- }(3)/(5) \end{gathered}

where y denotes the bran muffins. Then y is given by

\begin{gathered} y=((3)/(5)*10)/((5)/(5)) \\ \sin ce\text{ 5/5 is one, then} \\ y=(3)/(5)*10 \end{gathered}

So, we have

\begin{gathered} y=(3*10)/(5) \\ y=3*2 \\ y=6 \end{gathered}

and the answer is 6 bran muffins.
