The area of asemicircle is:

A=(\pi\cdot r^2)/(2)
A=(\pi\cdot4^2)/(2)=(\pi\cdot16)/(2)=\pi\cdot(8)/(1)=8\cdot\pi\text{ ft}^2

Therefore, the area of the semicircle in 8*pi ft^2
