Using the distributive property how do I simplify the expression. 1/3(6b + 9)

Just multiply 1/3 by the terms inside the parentheses and simplify


\text{ }(1)/(3)\text{ (6b + 9) = }(6)/(3)b\text{ + }(9)/(3)
\text{ = 2b + 3}

Result

2b + 3
