Given data:

N=74

Equation:

T=50+(N-40)/(4)

To find the temperature T given N=74 substitute in the equation the N by 74 and evaluate to get the corresponding value of T:

\begin{gathered} T=50+(74-40)/(4) \\ \\ T=50+(34)/(4) \\ \\ T=50+8.5 \\ \\ T=58.5 \end{gathered}Then, in N=74 the temperature in degress Fahrenheit is 58.5°F
