Where V is the volume, Abase is the area of the base and h is the height of the prism. For this prism the base has a rectangular shape, so it can be calculated as shown below:


A_{\text{base}}=\text{length}\cdot\text{width}=18\cdot12=216cm^2

Using this value on the first expression:


V=216\cdot9=1944cm^3

The correct option is A.
