a)add 2 in both sides

b) both sides to the 2 power

$\begin{gathered} \sqrt[]{3x-2}=8 \\ (\sqrt[]{3x-2}^2=8^2 \\ 3x-2=64 \end{gathered}$

c) again, add 2 in both sides.

$\begin{gathered} 3x-2=64 \\ 3x-2+2=64+2 \\ 3x=66 \end{gathered}$

d) finally, divide both sides by 3

$\begin{gathered} 3x=66 \\ (3x)/(3)=(66)/(3) \\ x=22 \end{gathered}$
