the initial equation is:


3x+2y=12

So to solve for y we can rest 3x in bout sides so:


2y=-3x+12

and now divide by 2 so:


\begin{gathered} y=-(3)/(2)x+(12)/(2) \\ y=-(3)/(2)x+6 \end{gathered}
