Data:

l=3w

P=276ft

The perimeter of a rectangle is:

P=2l+2w

As l=3w:

P=2(3w)+2w

Use the equation aboe to find the value of w:

\begin{gathered} 276=6w+2w \\ 276=8w \\ (276)/(8)=w \\ \\ 34.5=w \end{gathered}

Use the value of w to find the value of l:

\begin{gathered} l=3w \\ l=3(34.5) \\ l=103.5 \end{gathered}Then, the dimensions of the court are: 103.5 long and 34.5 wide
