The equation of a line is given by:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

where (x1,y1) is a point on the line and m is the slope. To find the slope of a line we use the formula:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

In this case, we have:

m=(4-3)/(5-(-2))=(1)/(5+2)=(1)/(7)

Then, the equation of the line is:

\begin{gathered} y-4=(1)/(7)(x-5) \\ 7y-28=x-5 \\ x-7y=-23 \end{gathered}

Therefore:

x-7y=-23
