1) Parallel lines have the same slope. So our new slope has the slope m=1

Looking at the options, we have two options with the same slope. So let's test them x-2y=4 and x+2y=0 plugging in the point to verify

(2,-1)

x+2y=0

-1+2(2) = 0

3 = 0 False

x- 2y =4

2 -2(-1) =4

2+2=4

2) So x -2y =4 and x+2y=0 are parallel to x-2y=6

But only x -2y =4 passes through the point (2,-1)

x-2y=4 is the answer
