Given :

3p - 1 = 5(p - 1) - 2(7 - 2p)​

Solve to find P:

so,

3p - 1 = 5p - 5 - 2 * 7 + 2 * 2p

3p - 1 = 5p - 5 - 14 + 4p

combine like terms

so,

3p - 5p - 4p = -5 - 14 + 1

-6 p = -18

divide both sides by -6

-6p/-6 = -18/-6

p = 3
