we have the expression

(2x+10x+12)/(x^2+3x+2)

Combine like terms in the numerator

2x+10x+12=12x+12=12(x+1)

Simplify the denominator

x^2+3x+2=(x+2)(x+1)

substitute in the original expression

(12(x+1))/((x+1)(x+2))=(12)/(x+2)
