The domain of y = tan x is the set {x:x ∈ R and x ≠ (2n + 1)π/2, n ∈ z

y = secx = 1/cosx

the domain of y = secx is the set {x:x ∈ R and x ≠ (2n + 1)π/2, n ∈ z

We can see that the domains are the same. Thus, the correct option is

D. y = secx
