Area of sqaure = 49 square units.

length of sides = (x - 3)

The formula for finding the area of square:

\begin{gathered} \text{Area = l}^2 \\ 49=(x-3)^2 \\ \text{square root both sides} \\ x-3\text{ = }\sqrt[]{49} \\ x\text{ -3 = 7} \\ x\text{ = 10 units} \end{gathered}

The value of x is 10 units
