$\begin{gathered} (6)/(7)+((-11)/(8)) \\ (6)/(7)-(11)/(8)=(6\cdot8-7\cdot11)/(7\cdot8)=(48-77)/(56)=-(29)/(56)\approx-0.52 \end{gathered}$
