the formula of the area of the square is

A=x^2^{}

replace the area

\begin{gathered} 150=x^2 \\ x^2=150 \\ x^2-150=0 \end{gathered}

and solve x

\begin{gathered} x=\sqrt[]{150} \\ x=5\sqrt[]{6}\approx12.25 \end{gathered}

the length of a side is 12.25ft
