Problem

(x + 2)(3x - 4)(3x) = 0

Solve for x.

Solution

For this case since we have a mutliplication of terms equal to 0 we can do the following:

x+2 =0

x= -2

3x -4=0

We add 4 in both sides and we got:

3x -4+4 =0+4

3x=4

Then we divide both sides by 3 and we got:

3x/3 = 4/3

x= 4/3

3x=0

x=0

And then we have 3 solutions:

x= -2 , x = 4/4 , x= 0
