Given:

5(2x+1)=11

Using distributive property.

a(b+c)=ab+ac,\text{ here a=5, b=2x and c=1.}

5*2x+5*1=11

10x+5=11

Subtracting 5 from both sides of the equation, we get

10x+5-5=11-5

10x=6

Dividing both sides by 10 of the equation, we get

(10x)/(10)=(6)/(10)
x=(6)/(10)
x=(3)/(5)=0.6

Hence the value of x is 3/5 or 0.6.
