We have;

f(x)=ab^x

We want to obtain the value of a given the table.

Luckily we can obtain the value of a since;

\begin{gathered} f(x)\text{ if x=0, i.e } \\ f(0)=a(b^0)=a*1=a \end{gathered}

Thus a is the value of f(x) when x = 0.

Let's get the value of f(x) when x = 0 from the table.

\text{from the table at, at x =0 , f(x)= a = 500}

Therefore, a = 500
