You spin a spinner that is equally divided into four parts and then you spin it again. 1 part is red, 1 part is green, and 2 parts are blue. What is the probability of the spinner stopping on red section on the first spin and then a blue section on the second spin? Write answer as a fraction

Given:-

Spinner that is equally divided into four parts and then you spin it again. 1 part is red, 1 part is green, and 2 parts are blue.

To find the probability the spinner stopping on red section on the first spin and then a blue section on the second spin?

So here the sample space is the total probability of the chances. So we get,

n(s)=4

So probability of getting red, we have only 2 red parts. so we have,

n(r)=2

So the probability is,

p(r)=(n(r))/(n(s))=(2)/(4)=(1)/(2)

So the probability is,

(1)/(2)

So the probability of getting blue is,

n(b)=2

So the probability is,

p(b)=(n(b))/(n(s))=(2)/(4)=(1)/(2)

So the probability is,

(1)/(2)
