We have the following:

$(2)/(4)+(6)/(8)=(2\cdot8+4\cdot6)/(4\cdot8)=(16+24)/(32)=(40)/(32)=(4\cdot10)/(4\cdot8)=(10)/(8)$

The answer is 10/8
