Given:

Spinner with number in it 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.

To find:

Probability of not getting even number.

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of event happening

=\frac{favorable\text{ cases }}{total\text{ cases}}

P(event not happening)=1-P(event happening)

Solution:

We have 2, 4 are the even numbers out of 6 numbers.

So,

\begin{gathered} P=(2)/(6) \\ =(1)/(3) \end{gathered}

Now,

\begin{gathered} \bar{P}=1-(1)/(3) \\ =(2)/(3) \end{gathered}

So, probability of not getting even number is 2/3.
