Quadrant II

1) Given the fact that the upper triangle has

A (-7,3) B(-7,7) C(-3,3)

The lower one

D (-1,-2) E(-1,-6) F( 3,-6)

2) Translating them (x-7) 7 units to the left, and (y+9) 9 units up we'll have:

A'(-14,12) B' (-14,16) C' (-10,12)

D' (-8,7) E'(-8,3) F'(-4,3)

3) Finally

Quadrant II

The values of x coordinates of each point are negative and y is positive.
