We were given the following information:

Concrete building blocks weigh 28 pounds each

b = the number of concrete blocks

w = the weight of the concrete blocks

We know that the weight of the building blocks increases as the number of concrete blocks increases and the weight of the building blocks reduces as the number of building blocks reduces. We thus have the equation:

\begin{gathered} w=28* b \\ w=28b--------1 \\ \\ \text{Making ''b'' the subject of the equation in 1 above, we have:} \\ D\text{ivide both sides by ''28'', we have:} \\ (w)/(28)=(28b)/(28) \\ (w)/(28)=b \\ b=(1)/(28)w-------2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the equations that relate the two variables together are:

\begin{gathered} w=28b--------1 \\ \\ b=(1)/(28)w-------2 \end{gathered}
