Given data:

The first point given is (5,2) .

The second point given is (7,0).

The slope of the given points is,

\begin{gathered} m=(0-2)/(7-5) \\ =-1 \end{gathered}

The equation of the line passing through the given points is,

\begin{gathered} y-2=m(x-5) \\ y-2=-1(x-5) \\ y-2=-x+5 \\ y=-x+7 \end{gathered}

Compare the above equation with the standard equation of the line.

y=mx+c

Here, c is y-intercept.

Thus, the slope of the line is - 1, y-intercept is 7, and equation of the line is y = -x+7.
