Using cosine function:


\begin{gathered} \cos (\theta)=(adjacent)/(hypotenuse) \\ so\colon \\ \cos (32)=(x)/(14) \end{gathered}

solve for x:


\begin{gathered} x=\cos (32)\cdot14 \\ x=11.87267335 \\ x\approx11.9 \end{gathered}
