Determine the height of tree by using pythagoras theorem.


\begin{gathered} (11)^2+(32)^2=c^2 \\ 121+1024=c^2 \\ 1145=c^2 \\ 33.837=c \\ 33.8\approx c \end{gathered}

Add the length of broken tree to height of bottom of tree.


11+33.8=44.8

The height of the tree was about 44.8 feet.
