We have:

m = mass = 10 g

c = specific heat = 4.184 J/gC

Δt= temperature change = 25 °C

Apply:

• Q = m c ,Δt

Where Q is the heat needed.

Replacing:

Q= 10 g x 4.1884 J/gC x 25 C

Q= 1046 J
