Given:

(1.5 x 10^8)(3.2 x 10^-4)

Since it is bracket, it is multiplication. That means we multiply both quatities, and in doing that we will need to add the powers using laws of indices.

so,

(1.5 x 3.2) x (10^8 + (-4))

(1.5 x 3.2) x (10^8 - 4)

= 4.8 x 10^4
